Isn’t mystery shopping just a scam?
Yes and no. Yes, because there are a lot of scammers out there and they use all kinds of techniques to lure unsuspecting nubes into parting with their cash. Be aware. No, because I’ve made thousands of dollars conducting legit evaluations.
What are your favorite mystery shops?
Well, I have a blog about my favorites but, in a nutshell, high-paying (more than $40 per hour) shops and massage shops.
Can you really make money mystery shopping?.
Yes, you won’t make enough to buy your parents a house in France but you can cover some bills working part time on your own schedule.
Can I bring my own wine, and is there a corkage fee?
Oops, this was in the template and I forgot to delete it. But yes, on some shops, you can bring your own wine. The company might cover the corkage fee.
Are pets or kids allowed on shops?
Surprisingly, sometimes pets and kids are required! I’ve done pet store shops where I have to bring my dog to get a wash. I’ve done gaming stores where I have to bring a child under the age of 17 and see if they can buy an explicit video game. Amusement parks almost always require you to bring a guest and they encourage children so you don’t stand out. Just make sure you bring someone who can watch the kids (or pets) while you conduct the shop.
How do you get started mystery shopping?
